Study Tour To Sumpang Bita Cave

                When I was in Catholic Cendrawasih Senior High School last year,  I went to The Sumpang Bita Cave, it was in Maros. We went there to study how people in the past did their daily life. I went to the cave by climbing the stairs, the stairs was about 1.000 stairs there.

                Before we went to the cave, we gathered at school about 7 o’clock in the morning, we prayed together and after that we waited for the bus. We went  there with our history teachers. When we went there, we went with 7 others classes. So, we took 8 buses. After the busses came, we got on the buses and went to the cave, and it was about 09.00 o’clock.

                On the way, we really had much fun. We sang songs together, we played a game in the bus and did some jokes, and after we arrived at the location, we felt so happy. But, before we did our activities we had lunch together and after that we started to climb the stairs.

                We climbed the stairs one by one, step by step and we felt so tired. When we felt tired, we stopped and bought some drinks and food. In the left side of the stairs, there was a waterfall, some of my friends decided to take a bath there and they said that the water was so cold hahaha. We were so happy, we got some new experience.

                After taking a rest, we started to climb the stairs again, it took so long, we climbed the stairs maybe arround 12.00 o’clock and arrived at the cave at 01.30. It was a long trip. One of my friend, Marco didn’t get the cave. Why? Because he was too fat to climb the stairs and he just said “I can’t, too much stairs to climb, seems like I’m gonna die if I still climbed it” and everyone who heard it was laugh at the time.

                After arriving  at the cave, I saw a pig and a boat picture on the cave wall. It was red. After that, I entered to the cave and I saw bats there, it was black. After finishing our  activities at the cave we went back to the bus and continued our trip to The Leang-Leang Cave in Pangkep.
